Comrades

In 2023, Tony’s play with songs – ‘Comrades’, was performed at The Northcott Theatre to a rapturous acclaim. It was based on Bill Douglas’ iconic film of the same name, telling the story of the Tolpuddle Martyrs and the birth of trades unionism in Briain. Tony worked with Bill Douglas’ surviving partner and script editor for the film – Peter Jewell, along with 2^nd year drama students from University of Exeter.
