Details & performance requirements

Each show or walkabout lasts around 30 minutes and we can do each of these up to 3 times in the course of any 1 day’s booking – usually between about 11am and 4pm (although The Imaginarium can run non-stop throughout these times). We are entirely self-contained and just need to be able to unload and park nearby, access to a loo and a tap with running water… also a place to get a cuppa, if possible! If acts are working solo, then we do ask for occasional help from a steward, if equipment has to be left in the public domain in order to go to the loo, have a cup of tea, etc. None of the acts require electricity. Most acts can adapt to working indoors, or under cover, if the weather is inclement – alternatively the day’s schedule can be reconfigured on the day by in agreement with the production manager/promoter.

If it is a static act, then we ask NOT to be located near any large PAs or steam organs(!), but if it is a walkabout act like the ‘Christmas Carol-oke’, or the cheeky seagulls, or something like the try-your-strength machine, then sound is generally not a problem. None of the acts require a dressing room – we usually change in the back of the van, or arrive ‘in kit’.

As a local company  (Dawlish, Exeter, South West, South Coast), we are able to keep our prices lower than most other commercial outfits based further way and yet maintain a very high standard of presentation… if you want anyone to vouch for us, just ask people we have worked with, like Lottie from InExeter, or Dom Jinks from Exeter Culture, or anywhere else that we have played!

NB :If you take more than 2 acts on any one day, we’ll try and make an even better deal for you, as we can save on travel costs and we try to reward multiple bookings for a nice event!

Availability:

We obviously have a number of bookers enquiring at the moment about all the possible Christmas dates (and Saturdays are very popular!), so please let me know what you think would suit your event and budget best, as soon as you can and I shall confirm the details in our diary – I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

With Best Wishes, Tony Lidington, Artistic Director, Promenade Promotions.
